With many requests for the feature (both from members and guests alike), a large enhancement has been added to the Trek system: Guest Signups.
Guests can now make a request to Join a Trek. Simply fill out the required fields on the trek you wish to join and you will receive a pending request email.
The Trail Boss or other members signed up for the trek will receive an email as well and can Approve or Deny the request.
If approved, that guest will now be "active" for the trek, and they will receive a special url that will allow them to see if the full details of the trek (overriding the hide trek info for non-members functionality). That special url must be used by the guest to see the complete trek info at any time. It also gives the ability for the guest to remove themselves from the trek.
