Governor reduces theft from OHV to $7 million;

Thanks to the overwhelming response from the OHV community to the threat to the state OHV fund, Governor Brown reduced the amount to be taken from the gas-tax OHV funding from $21 million to $7 million. This is a small victory for us, but will require continuous vigilance to ensure that the fund is not completely gutted. Only a few weeks later, State Parks Director Ruth Coleman resigned after it was discovered that State Parks was sitting on a surplus of nearly $54 million, including $33.5 million in the Off Highway Vehicle Fund. For more on that story, visit this link
